Assistant Coach – RCG Heren 1 & 2

RCG is building a performance pathway aimed at competing at the highest level in Dutch rugby. Our Heren 1 & 2 squads are entering a new phase of growth, with a clear vision, high standards, and a culture built on collaboration, player development, and a long-term legacy for the club and region.
We are looking for an Assistant Coach to join our performance staff. You will work within a coaching team of up to four, alongside national-level coaches, to deliver:
- Performance-level preparation for training and matches
- Technical and tactical player development across both squads
- Match analysis and game planning
- Specialist input in your chosen coaching area (attack, defence, etc.)

- Potential to combine with a coaching role at Rugby Academy NoordOost, part of the region’s fast expanding elite player pathway, and the opportunity to be part of a new regional development plan, which could open scope for a full-time role in rugby coaching.
- Remuneration: €5,000–€7,500 per season (~34 weeks), depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates with a World Rugby Level 3+ qualification, or World Rugby Level 2+ combined with Ereklasse experience as a player or coach, will be considered for the upper range. Talented and high-potential coaches without this level of formal qualification are also encouraged to apply.
- Funding for Education: access to financial support for further coaching qualifications, specialist courses, and professional development
- World Rugby Level 3+ (or working towards it), or World Rugby Level 2+ with Ereklasse playing/coaching experience
- Alternatively: a highly motivated, technically/tactically gifted coach eager to develop in a performance setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high standards and player-centred coaching
